Character Information
Character Name: Shinichi Kudo, alias Conan Edogawa (names in western order)

Canon: Detective Conan

Canon Point: Manga chapter 770

History: wiki because i sure ain't summarizing like a thousand chapters

Personality: When looking at the character of Kudo Shinichi/Edogawa Conan, there are three main things to consider. First, who he was before his exposure to the APTX4869 poison. Secondly, the persona of Edogawa Conan. Third, the way he's changed as a person since being forced to live undercover as a seven year old child.

When first introduced, Shinichi was a brilliant, talented, famous high school detective who was all to aware of his intelligence. Secure in his role to the point of arrogance, he was fond of dramatic reveals and tended to look down on others for not being able to see what he thought of as simple clues. It didn't help that he was the son of two very rich and famous people (his father is a mystery author, and his mother an internationally famous actress) and that in addition to being a famous detective, he was an extremely skilled athlete and just generally all-around talented and privileged. Essentially, he did what he wanted when he wanted, and was accustomed to everyone around him (schoolmates, newspapers, police) hanging onto his every word.

All that changed when the fire nation attacked he was beaten in a dark alley by a mysterious men dressed in black and force-fed a poison that should have killed him but instead reverted him physically back into appearing seven years old. It's hard to be a cocky super detective sports star when you look like a first grader. Living undercover has changed Shinichi from the cocky, overconfident highschooler to someone who is extremely paranoid and secretive. He believes that if anyone knows his secret, it will put them at risk of being hunted by the Black Organization and killed, and so constantly lies to the people he cares about (specifically his childhood friend Ran, who he lives with as Conan). His experiences as Conan have also mellowed out his confidence somewhat, between tragic murder cases where suspects took their own lives and his ongoing inability to take down the Black Organization and return to his former self. He's still the same stubborn, determined, somewhat cynical teen he was before, but he's been worn down a bit by the realization that he's not infallible. Plus, it's hard to be obnoxiously overconfident when you're literally small enough to be picked up and thrown around (not that being that small stops him from rushing into danger, he really doesn't seem to care if he gets hurt if it solves the case).

His sudden transformation from a seventeen year old to a seven year old required the development of an entirely new persona, that of Edogawa Conan. Shinichi treats Conan as a separate identity, thinking of the character with phrases like "I'm going to turn back into Conan" when antidotes begin to wear off. Conan is a bright, inquisitive child who constantly pesters the people around him for information and points out clues to police and the detectives he works with. He's constantly cheerful and bounces back from any mistreatment (physical or verbal) with ease. Conan's enthusiasm and general "adorable small child" personality tends to seem out of place at crime scenes, but he's been around enough of them that the police tolerate him (or even ask for his help), and suspects are far more willing to chat with a curious child asking innocent questions than the would be with an adult or teen. However, the Conan persona is absolutely just a cover for Shinichi's real personality, and he drops it around people who know his true identity or around the "Shonen Tantei", his group of seven year old detective friends (to the point where they get a little creeped out when they see him putting on the Conan act).

Items on your character at canon point:

School uniform (blue shorts and jacket, white button down shirt)
Glasses (removable microphone that transmits to the glasses so Conan can eavesdrop on conversations, tracking radar in the right lens that can locate detached transmitters within 20km, digital magnification in the left lens)
Voice-changing bow tie (can alter Conan's voice to any other voice, can be paired with a small speaker)
Speaker (disguised as a button, paired with the bow tie)
Power shoes (enhance Conan's kick strength to superhuman levels)
Stun-gun wristwatch (contains one stun dart, the face of the watch can also light up as a flashlight)
Transmitters (matched to the frequency picked up by his glasses, matched in color to his jacket button)
Detective Boy's badge (a small pin that functions as a walkie-talkie with the other pins in its set, also a transmitter that can be located by his glasses)
Elastic suspenders (very stretchy, very strong, can be used to lift heavy objects)
Anywhere Ball Dispensing Belt (a soccer ball pops out of the buckle, the soccer ball deflates in ten seconds, the belt contains two soccer balls)
Cell phone
House keys (several)
Small amounts of cash (yen)

Abilities:
- genius detective (including intense attention to details and an encyclopedic knowledge of random facts related to whatever murder mystery he's solving that week)
- bilingual (Japanese and English) with some knowledge of at least German and possibly other languages
- perfect pitch (but not relative pitch, he can accurately identify musical notes, chords, and keys, but can't hold a key if he's singing)
- first aid (more than just basic, can tend to severe injuries like knife or gunshot wounds)

- soccer (very very good at putting a soccer ball exactly where he wants to, including ricocheting it off of objects to strike a target)
- skateboarding (on both a normal and high-powered skateboard), also snowboarding and skiing
- firearms (accurate with handguns, and with his dart gun wristwatch)
- violin (because he's a Sherlock Holmes fanboy)

Strengths and Weaknesses:
Strengths
+ extremely intelligent. Shinichi's deductive genius, quick mind, and encyclopedic knowledge didn't desert him when he became Conan.
+ loyal. Protecting his friends and family is always first on his mind, even if he goes to far-too-extreme lengths (like lying to them for however long the series has been going on) to do so.
+ incredibly calm in a crisis. You've got to be, when you deal with murders on a basically daily basis.
+ extremely used to violent crimes. See above.
+ focused and driven. Once the game's afoot, he's not stopping until he's solved the mystery.

Weaknesses
- dangerously independent. Oh my gosh just let other people help you sometimes Conan.
- arrogant. Less so now, but he's always been extremely aware of his own abilities (think every version of Sherlock Holmes in media).
- suspicious and distrustful. Great when there's an international crime syndicate considering you as a target (or when you're trapped in a house with a dozen potential murderers), bad for literally any other situation.
- physically small, even for a seven year old. Please don't throw him around too much (he's like a very small dog who tries to take on very large dogs all the time).

Sample

[Getting back home isn't an option right this second, not without first figuring out where they all are and how the hell they got here. Yeah, there was that pamphlet but it's probably bullshit, something made up by their kidnappers to distract and delay them all. This isn't the first time he's dealt with mysterious "cursed" islands or "vengeful ghosts", and it's always been something he could easily figure out. He's not worried about figuring it out this time, and he's pretty confident that if everyone here works together they'll find a way off this island within a week at the outside.

He tugs on the sleeve of the closest grownup, a foreigner (there are a lot of them, and Shinichi wonders what kind of criteria the kidnappers had for picking everyone), adult but not old, freshly dyed blue hair and manicured hands, nothing that sets him on edge quite yet.
]

Obasan, can I follow you? [Look cute, look lost, look like you're in need of help (not hard to do when you're as small as he is and the spring rain soaks through thin cotton teeshirt and into too-long jeans), and you'll get anybody to help you out. And of course, it works again this time, and the woman makes the appropriate sort of distressed sad noises he'd expect. She can handle the heavy lifting and looking around, and he'll work on putting a plan together.]
